Part 1 | New Orleans In August

I went to New Orleans last week and I thought it would be great to share some images from my trip. It's one of my favorite cities, especially because some areas remind me of a "mini" Europe. This year is a really good time to visit since New Orleans is celebrating their 300th year anniversary. I recommend everyone visit at least once in their lifetime though!

For this trip I opted not to bring my Canon DSLR. It's normally my go-to for taking photos, but carrying it around all day can be tiresome. All the photos I took while I was in New Orleans were actually taken with my iPhone 7 Plus.

Enjoy some panoramic pictures I shot of New Orleans below!

I finally visited Jackson Square during this stay. You can find this location in the French Quarter.

There are multiple horse carriages available in the front of Jackson Square.

Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis in Jackson Square.

Also often referred to as St. Louis Cathedral. One of the oldest cathedrals in the United States.

A streetcar located on Canal Street.

The St. Charles Streetcar Line is the perfect way to see the area. You might also want to ride it if you want to avoid walking or if you want to take a break from walking around. It's also very inexpensive to ride.

You want to make sure you stay at a convenient location whenever you visit New Orleans. I stayed at the Warehouse District during this visit. This puts me within walking distance of a lot of restaurants, shopping, and other activities.

If you prefer not to walk around at all then there are other forms of transportation available. New Orleans does have Uber and Lyft. There are also taxis on just about every street and block.

A shot of the background from my balcony of my hotel room.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton New Orleans Convention Center. It's one of the many hotels located on or around Julia Street. All of the staff were extremely friendly and nice during my stay. There is an amazing complimentary beverage and breakfast! The only con I would say is the parking is bit on the pricier side, but that is to be expected for that area.

Be sure to check back soon for Part 2 and Part 3 of my latest trip to the Big Easy!
