Review: Sigma Eyeshadow Palette - Dare.

A couple weeks ago I received the Sigma Eyeshadow Palette in Dare. The colors are absolutely gorgeous in this palette and that's why I decided to pick Dare instead of Bare. These are actually the type of colors I've been wearing a lot of lately.

I already own the Sigma Eyeshadow Palette in Flare. If you haven't already be sure to click here to read that review and check out the swatches.

Description: The Sigma Beauty DARE palette includes the perfect mix of vibrant and neutral shades represented by warm and cool tones. This palette contains beautiful yet unexpected hues from neutral corals to deep reds and includes surprisingly wearable yellow and gold tones. DARE allows you to create colorful looks that can be easily accentuated with bright or deep colors. Go from day to night in seconds!

Includes Sigma Beauty's best-selling E20 and E45 in an exclusive dual-ended brush. Contains matte and satin formulations.

Retail Price: $35.00

Purchase From: Sigma Beauty

Short Shader - E20: Flat, short, slightly rounded and dense brush. Perfect for precisely applying colors on the lid and smudging along the lash line.

Small Tapered Blending - E45: Small domed brush with highly tapered tip. Versatile, this brush can be used to precisely apply and blend intense colors to the crease area.

  • Highly pigmented

  • Includes duo brush

  • Includes 8 eyeshadows

  • Fun, vibrant eyeshadows

  • Variety of finishes available

  • CONS:

  • Thick, bulky packaging

  • Vanish is a bit chunky in texture

  • Overall Thoughts: I love, love, love this Sigma Eyeshadow Palette in Dare! If I had to recommend a palette out of all three available this would be the one. The colors are fun and bold. This is a very women of color friendly palette.

Unlike the Flare palette the eyeshadows are more pigmented and don't apply as sheer. The only eyeshadow that has a different texture is Vanish. It's a bit glittery and chunky in texture. Applying that shade wet will fix that issue though.

The brush duo that is included is wonderful as well. I love using the Sigma E20 for smudging or applying eyeshadow along the lower lash line. The Sigma E45 was what I was most excited about using. It's a "dupe" for the limited edition MAC 226 brush.

I really like the array of colors they chose. I am not a huge Sigma fan, but they did really well with these palettes. I really like the look of the brush that came in it too!
