Review: Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush.

I'm going to be reviewing the Wet n Wild Color Icon blush. There are four shades available and they are Pearlescent Pink, Heather Silk, Mellow Wine, and Berry Shimmer. I own Pearlescent Pink and Berry Shimmer.

Description: Sweep on this silky-smooth blush that strikes the perfect balance between a blendable transparent sheen and a radiant pop of maximum color. A special blend of treated nylon powders provides long-lasting color. Dermatologist-tested.

Retail Price: $2.99

Purchased From: Rite Aid

Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush - Pearlescent Pink

Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush - Berry Shimmer

  • Very affordable
  • Great pigmentation
  • Able to build color up
  • Long lasting formula
  • Shimmer gives off a glow

  • CONS:
  • Slightly powdery

  • Overall Thoughts: I'm a huge fan of the Wet n Wild Color Icon products and the blushes are no exception! The Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush are available in two finishes: matte or shimmer. The two blushes I own are both shimmers. Pearlescent Pink is a shimmery peachy pink and Berry Shimmer is a shimmery raspberry red. The shimmer gives off a nice glow on your cheeks. You can click here to check out a tutorial I did using one of the blushes. The only minor con I have is that they are slightly powdery. There's just noticeable powder after dipping your brush in the product.

The best thing I discovered about the Wet n Wild blushes is that these two shades appear to be dupes or alternatives to two NARS blushes! Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink is really close to NARS Deep Throat. I noticed a lot of people say it's a dupe for NARS Orgasm, but for me it looks more identical to NARS Deep Throat. Wet n Wild Berry Shimmer is said to be a dupe for NARS Taos. I don't own NARS Taos so I'm not able to compare. At least from the photos I've seen they appear to be kind of close in appearance. Are these 100% indentical? No, but they're perfect alternatives for those who don't want to spend $27 on a NARS blush.

I'm planning to go back and purchase the other two shades. For only $2.99 you must check these out!

Do you own any Wet n Wild blushes? Favorite shade(s)?

I actually have Mellow Wine, but I don't use it very often, I always put on too much by accident, i should probably mix it with something so its not so 'in your face!' LOL

I like both of them. Also, a little off topic (and maybe creepy, sorry) but I like every single blush you've swatched!! They never end up looking as good on me, sadly. May I ask how you take such amazing swatches?

I have Berry Shimmer and it's INSANE! The pigmentation is so amazing that it's a bit jarring for my winter skintone :P I'll definitely be whipping it out during the summer when I have a slight tan. I'm a huge fan of peachy pink blushes and I have so many to use up which is the only reason why I haven't acquired Pearlescent Pink yet XD
