Review: NYX Rouge Cream Blush.

I own quite a few blushes, but the only cream blushes that I have are from NYX. I own five NYX Rouge Cream Blushes. I actually have another one on the way in Hot Pink. They're a perfect alternative for those who don't want to spend $19.50 each on a MAC Cremeblend Blush. There's also more shades available with NYX than there are from MAC.

Description: NYX Rouge Cream Blush provides natural, radiant, long lasting color to the cheeks due to a specially formulated, creamy formulation. Simply dab NYX Rouge Cream Blush onto skin with fingertips to emulate the look of natural, youthful skin.

Retail Price: $6.00

Purchased From: Cherry Culture

NYX Rouge Cream Blush - Rose Petal

NYX Rouge Cream Blush - Tea Rose

NYX Rouge Cream Blush - Orange

NYX Rouge Cream Blush - Golden

NYX Rouge Cream Blush - Bronze Goddess

  • Affordable
  • Long lasting
  • Buildable Color
  • Great Pigmentation
  • Smooth & creamy formula
  • Applies a lot more natural
  • Great for those with dry skin

  • CONS:
  • Can be messy
  • Expiration date is shorter than powder blushes
  • May not be ideal for those with extremely oily skin

  • Overall Thoughts: NYX Rouge Cream Blush are available in 12 shades. I five shades, which are Rose Petal (light pink), Tea Rose (pinky brown), Orange (bright orange), Golden (light pink with gold shimmer), and Bronze Goddess (bronze with gold shimmer). Most blushes are a matte cream finish, but Golden, Bronze Goddess, and Boho Chic seem to be the only ones that contain shimmer.

For me cream blushes just apply a lot more natural than powder blushes. Yes, even that bright orange blush looks completely natural upon application. These work great on their own or with powder blushes. I love layering these with my powder blushes. To apply them you can either use your fingers or a duo fiber brush. Using your fingers can get a little bit messy. A little goes a long way with these though.

Cream blushes are perfect for those with dry skin or even combination skin. Those with oily skin may or may not like these. Cream products may emphasize oil or shine on your cheeks. If you're already fan of the NYX Powder Blush then I reccommend checking the NYX Rouge Cream Blush too!

I love the colors. It's such a shame I can't wear cream blushes; I oil and break out. Sorry for TMI.

I own many cream blushes from different brands. I love to pair the cream blushes with powdered blushes and bronzers or highlighters. IT gives great dimension and also lengthens the staying power!

Also cream highlights are great too!!
