My Favorite Hair Products & Tips

I always have a bit of trouble finding the perfect hair care products. It can become an even bigger hassle when I am trying to discover which products to use or which ones to avoid using on my hair extensions. You want your hair extensions to last, so regular hair maintenance is very important. That is why I'm sharing my favorite hair care products and tips.

The hair extensions that I currently have are from Her Hair Company. I have several wig units I have created with their extensions that are over a year old. They're all still good as new! If you're interested in how I style my Her Hair Company hair extensions then click here.

My Hair Details: Brazilian Wavy extensions in 14", 16", and 18" along with a 14" Brazilian Wavy Lace Frontal.

MY FAVORITE HAIR CARE PRODUCTS
  • Got2b Ultra Glued Invincible Styling Gel: This gel provides so many uses for me. The gel can be applied to secure your lace frontal or lace closure. I also like using this gel for creating baby hairs. Applying a little bit of this gel helps to slick down and tame hair flyaways too.
  • L'Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil: This is currently one of my favorite hair oils! I always avoid using an extremely heavy oil on my hair extensions. This one is a lightweight formula and it provides a nice shine to the hair without weighing the hair down. The oil also has an amazing smell to it.
  • Wet Brush Pro Detangling Comb: You want to make sure you always use a wide-tooth comb on your hair extensions, especially around the closure or frontal. I have the WaveTooth comb, which the teeth help to prevent my hair or hair extensions from clumping, snagging, and breakage. I like using this comb to detangle or style my wavy and curly hair extensions.

HAIR EXTENSIONS MAINTENANCE TIPS:
  • Regularly wash your hair extensions. I strongly recommend co-washing to help maintain and add moisture to the hair.
  • Never use a thin toothed comb on the lace closure or frontal, especially while the hair is wet. This will cause damage to the closure or frontal. It can even create patches or bald spots.
  • Let the hair air dry instead of using a blow dryer. If you have a wavy or curly texture you want to make sure you always do this. This helps to maintain the natural texture of the hair extensions.
  • Always using a heat-protectant when you use a flat iron or curling tool. This will help lessen the breakage and damage to the hair extensions.

Those products and tips really help me maintain my Her Hair Company extensions!
