Review: Eyes Lips Face.

I have another e.l.f. review of some products mostly from the Studio line, but also from the Essential and Mineral lines. Both the Studio and Mineral lines range from $3 on up and the Essential line are all in the $1 range.

e.l.f. Studio Line Blush: The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow!

Retail Price: $3.00

Overall Thoughts: I have the e.l.f. Studio Blush in shades Pink Passion and Giddy Gold. Pink Passion is a matte bubblegum pink and Giddy Gold is a shimmery Gold. Both blushes have good pigmenation. I found Pink Passion to be slightly chalky and Giddy Gold is be chunky in texture (think MAC lustre eyeshadows.) Lighter skin tones will love Pink Passion. Giddy Gold is more of a highlighter or bronzer on me. I like to layer Giddy Gold over my matte blushes. It makes a great combination and gives off a glow! e.l.f. Studio Blush in Pink Passion looks like a dupe or a cheaper alternative for NARS blush in Desire.

e.l.f. Studio Angled Contour Brush: The unique angle and width of this brush creates mistake-proof eye color contouring so you can apply color with accuracy and comfort. Use this brush to apply base eyeshadow and crease eyeshadow for precise product application.

Retail Price: $3.00

Overall Thoughts: I love the Studio Line brushes, so I was interested in trying this particular brush out. The bristles are soft, but very dense. It's rather large. This brush is best for applying eyeshadow in the outer-v or for creating a smokey eye. It's also perfect for applying your highlight or brow bone color too. I didn't necessary like it for blending. I didn't experience any shedding from the brush.

e.l.f. Essential Lip Defining Brush: This soft tapered brush is ideal for lip color application and for softening lip pencil lines, creating a professionally applied look every time.

Retail Price: $1.00

Overall Thoughts: Shockingly I didn't own a lip brush until I picked this one up. The shape and size of the bristles are perfect for precise application. I like that the brush has a slight point at the tip. Upon cleaning I didn't experience any shedding. For $1 I'm definitely going to pick up a few more!

e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color: This convenient jumbo sized lip pencil creates exact color application with twist up ease so you never have to sharpen. The pigment rich color glides on effortlessly and easily to provide long lasting matte color. The enriched Vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes and hydrates lips for beautiful healthy looking lips.

Retail Price: $3.00

Overall Thoughts: The e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color reminds me of the Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Stick. I have the e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color in Natural. Natural is a lighter, mauvey pink. It's basically a jumbo lip pencil and to use you just twist it up at the bottom. The packaging is very similar to an automatic pencil and easy to use. I apply it like a lipstick. The formula is really creamy. I've been pairing Natural with the e.l.f. Glossy Gloss in Muted Mauve for an everyday neutral pink lip. I would love to see more shades come out with these!

e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint SPF 8: Nourish, pamper and treat lips with this super emollient, lip quenching color. Shea butter, Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil and Vitamin E impart serious moisture while SPF 8 protects lips from harmful UVA/UVB rays. This just-bitten tint of color provides immediate soothing relief to irritated chapped lips while also diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the lip area. Like all our mineral makeup this item is 100% mineral based with No Parabens, No Preservatives and No Chemical Dyes

Retail Price: $3.00

Overall Thoughts: I have the e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint in Cinnamon. Cinnamon is a brown with darker pink undertones. I think darker skin tones will appreciate this shade a lot more. The formula is really creamy and it gives off a tint of color. There's a noticeable shine too. I didn't find this to be moisturizing like my e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balm. Since it does have SPF 8 in it I will apply this on my no makeup days when I'm out. I will not reach for this if I'm looking for a lip balm to moisturize my lips though. These would be great for someone who's just getting started with lipstick.

e.l.f. Studio Mineral Face Primer: Transform your face into a flawless and smooth canvas with the Mineral Infused Face Primer. Developed to combat against excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines. This clear multipurpose skin primer will prepare your skin so makeup goes on evenly for a long lasting satin finish.

Retail Price: $6.00

Overall Thoughts: I've read a lot of great reviews about this primer and I wanted to try it out. The texture is kind of gel-like and it's clear. It reminds me of the Bare Minerals Prime Time Oil Control Foundation Primer. This primer has a pump. A lot of other reviews mentioned that the pump stopped working for them, but mine works just fine. I've been using this primer for many weeks and I've had no issues with the pump. The foundation that I used this primer with is a loose mineral foundation. Upon application it really smooths and evens out out the face. There were no noticeable pores or lines. The finish is indeed matte or satin. My foundation lasts over 7 hours with this primer. Normally in the Summer because it's so hot and humid here my face might end up slightly oily, but I didn't notice that with this foundation. Best of all this didn't cause any breakouts on my face.

Now on to swatches of some of the e.l.f. items!

Swatches of the e.l.f. Studio Line Blushes in Pink Passion and Giddy Gold.

Swatch of the e.l.f. Mineral Moisturizing Lip Tint SPF 8 in Cinnamon. (top)
Swatch of the e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color in Natural. (bottom)

Have you tried any of these e.l.f. products? Thoughts?
