Review: NYX Lip Lacquer Pot.

I'm finally getting around to posting my review of the NYX Lip Lacquer Pots that I ordered from Cherry Culture last year. I purchased two NYX Lip Lacquer Pots in Coral-Licious and Georgia Peach.

Description: The Lip Lacquer Pot is a portable lip gloss in a cute and sexy container easy for on-the-go application and touch-ups! This high-impact lip lacquer delivers a gorgeous shine. Comes in 12 different colors from sultry red to nudes and shimmery hues.

Retail Price: $6.00

Purchased From: Cherry Culture

PROS:
  • Inexpensive
  • Creamy formula
  • Very pigmented
  • Opaque color
  • Non-sticky formula
  • Many shades available

  • CONS:
  • No scent
  • It's in a pot
  • Georgia Peach is too light to be worn alone

  • Overall Thoughts: As with most NYX lip products I try these don't disappoint! The NYX Lip Lacquer Pot are definitely worth checking out especially if you're already a fan of NYX lipsticks or lipglosses. They remind me of the NARS Lip Lacquers and those retail for $24.00 each. $6.00 vs. $24.00 is pretty much a no brainer! On top of that NYX offers a lot more shades than NARS does. 12 to be exact.

I really do like the formula of the NYX Lip Lacquer Pots. It's a really creamy, opaque formula. It kind of reminds me of a gloss and lipstick in one product. You get the shine of a gloss but the pigmentation of a lipstick. These are great for wearing alone or even over other lip products. Coral-Licious is my favorite shade out of the two. This is definitely a flattering shade for everyone. You can click here to see a photo me wearing it. Georgia Peach would be better suited on lighter skin tones. It doesn't look good worn alone on me. It reminds me of MAC Creme d'Nude in lipgloss form. However they bother look great layered together!

One of the downsides for me is that there isn't a scent. I personally like my lip products to have a nice scent to them. For those of you who hate scented lip products then you will find this to be a plus. Another obvious downside is that it's in a pot, which can be annoying for those who don't like to dip their finger in it. I recommend using a lip brush if you prefer to not dip your finger in the pop.

Here are swatches of the NYX Lip Lacquer Pots!

Have you tried out the NYX Lip Lacquer Pots?

@Ev - These aren't similar to the Matte Cream Lipgloss at all.

I hate lipgloss in a pot. Which is a shame because I love NYX lipgloss. But great pics and review !!! :)
