Holiday Season Saving Tips + Sears/Kmart Giveaway.

As we all know the holiday season is quickly approaching. I recently got a great opportunity to interview Louis Barajas, a Financial Coach Expert. I asked him about some tips for saving during the holiday season. He also talks about the Christmas Club Card that Sears and Kmart are again bringing back. The Christmas Club Card is a card used to help consumers budget for the holidays and save money over time, without incurring credit card interest or debt.

Don't forget to check below the video for a giveaway!

* Click here to view the video just in case the video doesn't load below. *

List of questions I asked:
1. What are some of the ways you recommend saving money?
2. Do you think people should shop early before the holiday season? Why or why not?
3. How does the Christmas Club card help you save money?
4. What are some tips for staying on your set budget while out shopping?
5. Are there items you consider okay to spurge on?

Saving money during the holiday season is hard for me because I want to give my loved ones everything they want especially my daughter. So what I do is start getting her winter stuff in the spring, when items are one sale. She grows about 1 size in the summer so I allot for that. I only shop for her when I have the coupons from Justice where I get her clothes and check various websites to find the lowest options for any electronics for her that I may want to buy. If you start your shopping really early you don't catch those holiday markups!

The way that I find best to save money is to start early on my holiday shoping and find great sales. I actally start thinking about christmas around this time, and start creating my shopping list and figure out how much I really want to spend on each person, the amount varies, by a little more or a little less (which is better! ) :)

I think shopping early is a great way to save. Find things that are on sale and don't wait until a week before! Things aeem a bit cheaper before December.. So, yep.

Honestly, I don't know. I'm quite a spender during the holiday season! I do try to buy a lot of gifts beforehand (around this time). I also make a list of the people to buy gifts for, so I don't end up buying gifts for random people.

I tweeted about your giveaway of course! :-)

The best way to save money during the holiday season is to change what you do when you hangout with friends instead of going out all the time have days when you go to each others houses make hot cocoa talk about what you plan on doing with your family for the holidays and do some online shopping and see what stores have the best deal on a gift you wanna give that special someone and you and your friends can have a day after christmas christmas because we know that's when the best sells are find something you've been wanting to get a friend and set money limits for each other go home wrap the present up yourself meet up for some wonderful cocoa once again haha my favorite drink obviously and then celebrate your merry day after christmas christmas :)

I am a follower and I save money by limiting how many gifts each of my kids will receive. It is usually 5 each and a small stocking with candy.

I'm gfc follower Lindsie and I save money around the holidays by shopping year round. I also pick up leftover holiday cards at yard sales or thrift stores or make my own.

I save money during the holidays by buying items whenever I see suitable gifts on sale at any time of the year. I just store them until Christmas comes!

I save money during the holidays by setting a budget for each family member that we will get gifts for. This year, it's $25 per adult, $15 per child. That way, nobody's gift is "better" than anyone else's, and it allows us to put money aside every month leading up to Christmas, so that the money is guaranteed to be there. Im also very DIY, so I may get materials for things and do jewelry for the women of the family!

I'm a follower. A way I save money during the holiday season is I shop all year round whenever I spot good deals for holiday gifts instead of only doing shopping during holiday seasons.
